How To Build A DIY Light Box Sign with LASERS!

Build article: In this video, I’ll show you how to build a DIY light box sign using inexpensive LED lights. I made my light box into a sign, but there are tons of options! You could turn it into wall art for your kid’s room or game room, or even make a similar sign for your business’ lobby. Enjoy!

1x2x6 (I used Walnut, but any other wood would work!)
Pane of glass (size is up to you!) :
Spray Paint (for painting the back of the glass) :
Decor for the sign (vinyl lettering, more paint, use your imagination!) :
Battery Powered LED Light Strip :

I think the lights are the issue more than the paint. I don’t think you’ll get nearly as bright light from a battery pack.

Cool, turned out nice! You could always hit the white paint with a bit of 320 grit sandpaper. It should soften the amount on there and diffuse it rather than block it.

hey man, great work. I recommend the LED Modules, they are specifically design for signs, you can turn easily because they are connected by cables instead of being a continues strip. Example:
