JaneRoland says:

It seems to me that hanging plants upside down is a bit inhumane… I think that their shoot&root apical meristems could freak out in this situation. Are the Geneva Conventions allowing that??…

Fred Jones says:

Philip Sta Maria says:

Brilliant. Thx

Light 111 says:

This sure looks cool, but cactus and succulents do not grow properly in those, this is just for decoration but not for the health of the plant. I rather have them healthy in a not too pretty container for plants(don’t know how it’s called in english) than put them in these things so it can look cool but not grow healthy and properly. Kinda think they give more importance to the look than the health of the plant. As a person who love plants and raise different kinds of plants for my own fun and to sell them, I never recommend to do that, your plants will appreciate a proper care, just reed a lot, inform yourself and it will go great

Spoiled Peaches says:

PLEASE do not put plants in cans and corks!
Plants need to be able to breathe, keeping them in such small places can cause root rot. You can still put plants in cans though, but ONLY if they can survive in plain water, which succulents CANNOT. try using pothos instead! But please look up what needs drainage and what doesn’t! Rocks don’t prevent anything, do your research!

Just some of those that are actual hacks, hacks are supposed to improve usefulness, solve problems, and such. “Decorating” different kinds of garbage to kill plants in isn’t hacks.

Using paper rolls, folded newspaper, cans and bottles to plant in is not new ideas to most.

Your’re making videos with “hack’s”, and no one of you realize that you can use a can opener on a drink can?

Staying Positive says:

i mean some good ideas…buy some look terrible…the hanging herb gardens in cans looks like a trash dump. i’d say just buy a clay pot and put a plant in it near a window! this stuff is tacky

Tiefling06 says:

I can completely understand the bottle one for starters, but keeping them there for their whole life is just sad.

magnoliasouth says:

I think a lot of people are forgetting the TITLE. “Who don’t have a garden”. That’s great for those of you who can spread things out, but not all of us can. For example, I’m an RV gardener. I can only take so much. Don’t forget that succulents are plants that grow to size and do fine. They don’t die and I would know, TYVM! The trick is caring for them. Also, the newsprint alarmist has forgotten to remind you to ask if your local paper uses soy/vegetable ink. A lot of papers are these days. It’s amazing how information on the internet makes everyone experts, isn’t it? The ONE critical statement that is definitely warranted are those plants in that horrible shape around 3:02. It’s simply inexcusable.

Jostan Vallis says:

Louise C-M says:

10 ‘hacks’ that all boil down to ‘Have potted plants.’ You’d be better served by cutting out the newspaper and toilet roll ones, and calling this ‘8 cute planter crafts’ or something.

Suzy Alicea says:

These projects are for people that have tons of expendible time!! Too much work!

Dhanya S says:

If those plants has hands ,they would beat you up.

EpistemeUM says:

The toilet paper rolls don’t really biodegrade in the time some videos imply. If starting seeds with them, just peel them off before you transplant. Otherwise, they will impede the growth of the plant. I’d say expect them to stay in typical garden soil, outside, for at least 5 years if you don’t remove them.
